Blog Rampage 5

Our blog "rampage" continues. (Not quite as rampant as we would al prefer, but se la vie.) After most peopel returned from Christmas vacation, Cristy and Nathaniel began theirs. They flew to Medford, Oregon, 8 January, to visit Chuck, Elaine, and Grandma Campbell.

Our first stop (because it was on the way home) was Grandpa Campbell's grave. We left him some bright flowers to match his colorful personality.

The view from the cemetery is very scenic.

We slept well that long travel night and decided to visit the California redwoods the next day. Only a one hour drive south of Medford, these trees were worth every mile! Nathaniel was very happy. The great thing about chasing around a pregnant woman is that she can't hide very well.
Even the "small" trees have picturesque qualities.

Unfortunuatly, without some perspective, all of these trees still look normal-sized, but they weren't!

Maybe this fallen tree will help with the perspective a bit. I am about 10 feet in the air right now.

These big trees even grow on top of themselves sometimes. (Note: the small tree is still a big tree.)
This fallen tree was the biggest one we saw. Elaine and Cristy help you visualize.
The tree was twice as wide as Cristy is tall.
More perspective.

Yay. Finally, another upskirt tree shot.

Next time: The Moreiras leave the Redwoods and visit a lighthouse and the beach!
