Peach Picking

The first weekend in September we went with some friends to pick fruit at an orchard in Maryland that we had not been to before but had good reviews. We had such a good time!

Troy loved to walk around in the grass and helping us unpack our fruit.
And he also loved picking the high fruit up in te trees.
The Riches (Jamison, Katie, and Des) had a good time as well. Gotta taste it before you buy it right?
And the Trujillos. Good find guys!

No Troy -- it's on your left side.
We tried picking rasberries too, but they weren't as good :( We settled for a cute picture of all the kids + Cristy.
Our little boy was whupped pretty bad and slept the whole way home, then some more in his crib.
No we did not move this sign to take this picture in front of a tractor. That would be scrupulous.

Thanks for reading! Until next time!

Triathlon

Awhile back, Cristy and Nathaniel purchased a voucher to go to a shooting range at a discounted rate. We received shooting instruction for handguns and some ammunition. At about '15 feet Nathaniel showed that target what would happen to him/her if they showed up at our place unannounced and after not heading our wishes not to advance themselves into our bedroom.
August 12-14th the Moreiras, Millers, Bees, and Taylors all took a vacation to Luray, VA, for some fun times and to participate in a Olympic distance Triathlon Relay. The little toddlers (plus Micah baby) all "needed" a bath, so the Moms took care of that.
Nathaniel prepares to run the ~6 miles...
The swim (thank you Hyrum Miller, swim champion of the world) was 1500 meters. The bike event was next (~25 miles, thank you Nate Taylor, the most tenacious biker ever), followed by the run (no thanks to Nathaniel, who is fat).
The toddlers cheered like only toddlers can :) -- SQUIRREL!
Please note that the ambulance behind did not transport Nathaniel, but instead was merely an unfortunate back-drop to the picture in question.
Nathaniel would like to think that Troy was thinking, "Dad, you are awesome," judging by the look on his face, but he was probably staring at a plane or something.
Days later, Troy hugged his Dad for finally allowing him to have the controller in his hand.
Troy then went on a hugging frenzy.
We love our son for many reasons, one of which is his unflinching ability to unfold clothes. What a little helper :)
He also helps us in Cristy's Cucumber garden (what a great Mom she is!)
Very recently Troy has learned (again, thanks to Mom) to feed himself, though he only does so after much persuading.
Yo.

Troy feeding himself!

Sadly, it was not Nathaniel, but Cristy who would teach Troy how to use the nerf gun. Alas.

Next Up: Peach Picking!
